Timing is everything!
We all know how important it is to keep up with the latest news to remain in the know on what's going on in the world and understand how it directly impacts us and our businesses (whether it's fashion & consumer trends, taxes, tariffs, global warming, war, weather, etc). However, it's not quite as obvious to also pay special attention to the indirect implications & consequences on business overall, the economy, consumer behavior, etc.
Whether or not you approve or disapprove of our president or the content he puts out via social media, one thing we can all agree on is that the timing is often questionable, and one of the things that gets him into the most trouble. As majority of us will never become President of our great country, we do not and never will have as many chances to make those same mistakes...& sometimes it only takes one.
As you post on social media, it is critical to always take into consideration current events...what is going on & how it is impacting your customers and the world around them. Consumers want the businesses to which they give their hard earned dollars to have a heart and to exhibit empathy & humanity overall...& especially within the communities of which they reside.
